Aaron Kelley

Aaron Kelley is a pastor, scholar, and doctoral student devoted to equipping the church through biblically grounded theological education. Raised on the mission field by Baptist missionary parents, he began pastoral ministry in college, leading youth and young adult programs in Texas and New York that stressed evangelism, discipleship, and gospel proclamation. As Associate Pastor at Journey Christian Church in Rochester, NY, Aaron develops leaders for local ministry—launching small groups, street evangelism, and mission trips that mobilise believers to win souls. He views theological training as essential, merging pastoral insight with academic depth to shape students who proclaim Christ faithfully. Pursuing a PhD in Systematic Theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (2025–2031), focusing on the connections between postmodernism and Trinitarianism, Aaron researches theology proper, the Trinity, Christology, Pauline theology, and theological retrieval to renew evangelical thought. His degrees include an M.A. in Theology (University of Chester, 2022-2025), M.Div. (The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, 2020–2022), B.A. in Political Science (Stephen F. Austin State University, 2018–2020), and A.A. in Government (Tyler Junior College, 2016–2018). Kelley co-founded the Haddon Institute Research Journal as Assistant Editor, and has published on Enlightenment impacts on evangelical hermeneutics (Haddon Institute Research Journal 1, no. 1, 2024) as well as reviews of Christological exegesis and typology (Evangelical Review of Theology and Politics 11, 2023).
